Neighborhood sickness

Words and Photos: Riccardo Romano

We took a breather from the usual neighborhood, leaving behind the usual spots and wandering around Salento in a beat-up van overloaded with useless stuff and beers. With no specific destination, we weren’t looking for nothing, or running away from anything.  We just felt the need to get away for a while and skate.

After how many spritzes would you canoe across the Venetian Lagoon to go to skate a secret spot on a nudist island?

In Milton Keyes’ rabbit hole, every mistake is an important lesson to carry forward into the next construction.  Do-it-yourself is a process of trial and error, but just building together the collective knowledge grow, and the folks of Rosewood Grove know it.

In the late ’90s, the Roman skate scene was a tight-knit community, bonded by a shared love of skating and the thrill of pushing limits. Every weekend, they would gather at the Archivi di Stato, where the launch ramp was the crown jewel. The spot was so iconic that it quickly became a must-visit for anyone traveling to Rome.

Rough, Strong and Eternal

What better occasion for a nice cold beer, sitting on the same old bench, to chitchat and hype each other up thinking of making a new videopart? Every damn sunday we were out and about to skate and film with Matteo Botti. Cause if the outcome of a video is directly proportional on how it effects your crave to go skate, doing it among friends it’s the craziest combo.
