Exploring the Veneto region is not always simple. It depends on the motivation that an individual has to go out, and flip upside down their familiar surroundings, finding themselves in places where one would not normally end up. Among the vastness of the lagoon, across the country landscapes and through the Alps and pre-Alps, the distances shrink skating together.

Even offering a biscuit can sometimes spark new friendships. You don’t need many words with some people, you just let the energy talk. Simone Rocca interviews the filmer and artist ILCANILE in a slow, lens-to-lens chit-chat.

When do you ever get to have a say over the infrastructure you live in? In Glasgow “DIY” means having agency over your built environment, creating a truly powerful space for people.

It’s not just about getting lucky with spots while roaming around, and Giangi never letting me doubt his sense of direction. Maybe after spending countless hours on Google Earth, you end up gaining satellite vision, like some kind of superpower? Anyway, we know far too little about this new generation of spot hunters, so we’ve got to make it right!

Skateboarding makes us look at the world differently, changing the way we see things. In the same way, people look at the beach and only see water, but surfers see waves, lines, and trajectories. Different boards, similar feeling and it leaves you speechless.

Filming a video part, it’s like at some point the camera became an excuse to go deeper, to really understand each other beyond what ended up on tape. An attempt to put something real into words, knowing they’ll never quite be enough.
